The Mental Health Association established the Welcome Resource Centre to provide social support to the homeless and mentally ill.  It is located at the corner of Vernon and Tibruce Streets in Belize City and is intended to act as a pilot project as part of the wider provision of community mental health services in Belize.  The Welcome Resource Centre has a separate Board but comes under the umbrella of the Mental Health Association.  The Ministries of Health and Human Development provide support to the Centre through some staffing, a small subvention, and the Pantry Programme.
